The early days with them can feel like a complex dichotomy of elation and exhaustion, confusion and certainty, joy and stress. The intense metamorphosis that occurs in the postnatal period is vulnerable, overwhelming and euphoric.
Postpartum Doulas support families and newborns as they discover their path to symbiosis. A hands-on helper and purveyor of rest. A valuable resource, an insightful sounding board and a perpetual cheerleader.
